Statement on the 2025 Consolidated Elections
In Park Ridge, we are lucky.
In any democratic society, elections are a critical component of listening to voters and choosing direction. Excitement is mounting for next year's election cycle and I'd like to recognize that Park Ridge is fortunate to have so many individuals step forward expressing interest in running for office. As the Park Ridge City Council is a singular entity and depends upon consensus and collegiality, I do not feel it is appropriate for me to formally endorse any single candidate for any City office (Mayor, Clerk, or Alderperson). Instead, I am continuously impressed with the caliber and dedication of all those individuals stepping forward and I look forward to a healthy and vigorous (but not rancorous or visceral) public debate and decision. Let's keep Park Ridge...a Wonderful Place.
