What the Park Ridge Main Street Outdoor Dining district could look like!

I think it's well-established that Park Ridge loves the Main Street outdoor dining.  But we also love to be able to park.  And I hope we all agree that the streetscape could be improved.  

So I have an idea...

I propose that we redesign traffic flow on Main Street to be one-way (running from Touhy to Prospect).  Then, flip the diagonal parking so it faces the Metra line (thus making it safer for outdoor diners).  Extend the sidewalk apron in front of each restaurant and storefront along Main Street.  Push the sidewalk to the edge of the curb and allow each restaurant to enclose their own outdoor patio area into a dining patio/beer garden.
